The National Institute for International Education (NIIED), under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, is pleased to announce the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS-U) for Undergraduate Programs. This scholarship invites outstanding international students from around the world to pursue undergraduate studies in Korea, with the aim of fostering global leaders and strengthening international cooperation in education.

  • Embassy Track: Submit applications to the Korean Embassy in your home country.
  • University Track: Apply directly to designated Korean universities.
• Application Periods:
  • Embassy Track: September 15 – September 30, 2025
  • University Track: September 15 – October 31, 2025
• Final Results: January 2026
• Available Quotas:
  • Embassy Track: 125 students
  • University Track: 189 students
  • Total: 314 students

Eligibility

• Applicants must be non-Korean citizens, and their parents must also be non-Korean citizens.
• Age: Must be under 25 years old as of March 1, 2026.
• Education: Must have graduated (or be expected to graduate) from high school before March 1, 2026.
• Academic Performance: Minimum GPA of 80% (out of 100) or within the top 20% of the class.
• Health: Must be in good physical and mental health.
